Just a mini poll here on which of my original serials you might follow – as in, which ones you go to read whenever I release a new chapter.
I’m not including fanfic serials in this poll – all the readers for those are concentrated on Ao3, so it’s easy for me to see how many people are subbed in one place!
Links and descriptions are below the poll if you can’t remember a specific name! Some of these serials are on the backburner and I haven’t updated them in a while, but I’m including them in the poll anyway – I do plan on working on them, even the ones I haven’t touched for years!
I swap regularly between projects, as people who have followed my fandom serials will know.
An Uncommon Engagement
1920s dynamic between Harry Sutton, a butler, and the gentleman with whom he’s involved, Alexos Fox, continuing on from the events of An Uncommon Betrothal. Only one chapter in so far, last updated 29th July 2025.
The Boatswain’s Hook
This is technically fanfic, but Peter Pan is in the public domain, and I do mean to crosspost this one to the website when I start updating it regularly – this is a sequel to Peter Pan set in the 1920s following the Spanish Flu epidemic where Pan’s most recent crop of kidnapped children bring the influenza to Neverland and many of the natives and pirates on the island are made ill by it. Hook suffers a chronic illness and he and Smee retire to the north of England, and it’s very gay and kind of fucked-up.

Contemporary. Following the adventures of DI Phil Hutchinson, a police detective who is being groomed for something criminal by the dangerously sexy Adrian Gillespie, a beautiful young man in a wheelchair who insists on dominating the cop to within an inch of his life.

Little Devils
Contemporary. Velma Kuroda, an MA in Art History, inherits her aunt’s enchantment and magical antiques business, and is mentored by the irritable but lonely Hamish MacKinnon whilst juggling various family dramas. Big focus on demons and spirits and various magical beasties, as well as fucked-up enchantment.

Letters from Ganymede
19th century gothic horror in epistolary form, Ganymede Cavendish is an artist swept away to an isolated Scottish coastal village and is waited on by invisible servants as he works on his masterpiece, a commissioned marble statue for the anonymous John Smith, who is sponsoring his art. Lots of Greek mythological play and unreliable narration and dark romance.

Contemporary. Prophet Shulman is a bitchy old gay Jew stuck between a rock (his awful shitty cheating husband he can’t bring himself to divorce) and a hard cock (his infuriatingly charming new manager). Vance Vixen is a recently out middle-aged homosexual caught between the charms of a gorgeous bartender he likes to hold hands and talk with and the nasty Glaswegian secretary he keeps fucking at work. Gideon Shulman just can’t get anything right with his husband of decades, and begins a surprisingly loving affair with a handsome posh bloke he meets on a night out.
Awful triangle between terrible people trying their best to be less terrible. Mostly.

Fantasy carrying on from other works with Godfrey Digbett III. Godfrey, a cleric of the god Halloran, is drafted into an adventure into some strange and mysterious elven catacombs, where he’s forced to address some big gay thoughts.

Contemporary. Nearly finished. Valorous King, once a knight of the realm, has retired from adventuring and embarked on a new adventure – therapy. Lots of trauma recovery and musings on systems and cycles of abuse, as well as the relationship between Valorous King and his once-PE teacher, the equally traumatised and crotchety Cecil Hobbes.
